EXTINCTIONS CHOICE - Swarm of 35+ Insects
Stock Number  ACS28

Name:   Swarm of 35+ Insects
Age:  Eocene
Formation:  Amber Deposits
Location:  Baltic Coast, Russia
Size:  Amber piece is 1.9 inches long (10.2 grams)

This is an amazing piece of Baltic Amber. It is a huge mass of amber with more than 35 individual insects preserved. The amber is just chock full of gnats, midges, sand flies, and many other types of insects. All of the bugs have very nice detail and are easily seen in the large cognac-colored amber piece. Honestly, you can look at this specimen under magnification for a long time and still not see everything that is going on! This is the true definition of a swarm of insects trapped in ''fossil ooze''.
