This is a very detailed example of an unusual insect. It is a beautiful Moth (Lepidoptera) trapped in Baltic Amber. This specimen has exquisite detail - the antennae, legs, and all four wings are still intact. The wings are preserved in a "spread open" pose, making for a wonderful display. And the Moth is EASILY seen in the amber piece. This is an exceptionally well-preserved fossil moth in amber from the Baltic Coast of Russia (close-up photo is included for free).
