This is a rare insect in Baltic Amber. It is a Leafhopper Nymph (Auchenorrhyncha) from Russia. This type is a very uncommon find in Baltic Amber. This specimen is complete and has great detail. The legs, eyes, and antennae are very well preserved. The large Leafhopper Nymph is easy to see in the amber piece. There is also a small fly trapped in the amber. This is an unusual fossil insect from the Eocene Amber Deposits of Russia (close-up photo is included for free).
