This is a rare fossil insect in Baltic Amber. It is a Rockjumper (Lepismatidae) from Russia. This insect is unusual in amber because it could jump to safety. This specimen is complete, with the antennae especially well-preserved. The large amber piece also has a plant part in its clutches. This is a very uncommon insect trapped in fossil ooze (close-up photo is included for free).
