This is a nice ant (Hymenoptera) in Baltic Amber. It is from the amber deposits of Russia. This specimen has very good detail. The entire ant, including the legs and antennae, is easily seen. There is also a fly trapped in the amber piece. This is a nice example of an ant trapped in amber (close-up photo is included).
