This is a rare inclusion in Baltic Amber. It is a Millipede (Diplopoda, Polyxenidae) of the type Polyxenus sp. Millipedes were rarely trapped in amber. This specimen has great detail. Note the very fine bristles preserved on both sides of the Millipede. It displays well in the huge amber piece. This is a very unusual insect trapped in Russian amber (close-up photo is included for free).
