This is a large insect in Baltic Amber. It is a Termite (Isoptera) from Russia. This specimen has great detail. The head has the large eyes preserved, and the long wings display the venation beautifully. This is a hard insect to find trapped in Baltic Amber, and this is a really good example of one. It is a very collectible Baltic Amber fossil (close-up photo is included for free).
