This is a very nice ant (Hymenoptera) in Baltic Amber. It is from the amber deposits of Russia. This specimen has great detail. The legs and antennae are easily seen. There are also about a half a dozen other insects trapped in the large amber piece. This is an excellent example of an ant trapped in Baltic Amber (close-up photo is included for free).
