This is an excellent insect in Baltic Amber. It is a Beetle (Coleoptera) from Russia. This type of beetle seems to be related to the "ladybug" beetle. It has nice detail and GREAT red coloration. The beetle is EASILY seen trapped in the HUGE chunk of amber. This is an excelent specimen of a Beetle entombed in Baltic Amber (close-up photo is included).
