This is a rare inclusion in Baltic Amber. It is a Spiny Aphid (sometimes called the "Porcupine Aphid".) This specimen is complete and very detailed. It has spines and pustules covering the body. The aphid itself is easily seen in the lower right corner of the amber piece. This is one of the best examples of this rare aphid that we know of (close-up photo is included for free.)
