This is a rare insect in Baltic Amber. It is a large Leafhopper Nymph (Auchenorryncha) from Russia. These are very unusual-looking insects. They have large eyes and segmented bodies. This one is large and has very good detail. It is easily seen in the amber piece. This is a large and rare insect nymph entombed in fossil ooze (close-up photo is included).
