This is an excellent ant (Hymenoptera) in Baltic Amber. It is from the amber deposits of Russia. This specimen has super detail and clarity. The ant is easily seen in the amber piece. There is also a nice spider trapped in the amber piece (not pictured). This is one of the best specimens of an ant in amber we've seen (close-up photo included).
