This is an excellent insect in Baltic Amber. It is a distinct Beetle (Coleoptera) from Russia. This beetle has great detail on the head and wing coverings - you can even see the surface reticulation detail. The distinct insect even has the LONG antennae and wings preserved partially sticking out from under the wing coverings. The beetle is easily seen trapped within the large piece of honey-colored amber. This is an excelent specimen of a Beetle entombed in Baltic Amber (large close-up photo is included).
