This is a very collectible amber fossil. It is a pair of Mating Black Scavenger Flies (Scatopsidae) in Dominican Amber. These lovebirds were trapped while in the throes of passion. You can easily see that they are attached at the genitalia. And, wow, look at the detail of both bugs! These two little fornicators are entombed in this beautiful honey-colored amber nugget for eternity. This is a very rare and collectible "moment in time" trapped forever in fossil amber (small close-up photo is included for free).
