This is a cool amber fossil. It is a large spider (Araneae) from the Baltic Coast of Russia. This specimen has great detail - the LONG, HAIRY legs are intact and display beautifully. The many body parts of the spider are easily seen. The ugly arachnid is well displayed in the amber piece. And it even looks as if the spider was preserved in the ''attack'' pose! This is a very collectible spider trapped in Baltic Amber.
