This is an amazing amber fossil. It is a very large spider (Araneae) from the Baltic Coast of Russia. This specimen has great detail preserved - the LONG legs are intact and display beautifully. The large hairs on the legs are easily seen. The ugly arachnid is well displayed in the amber piece. This is a very distinct spider trapped in Baltic Amber.
