This is a top quality insect trapped in Baltic Amber. It is a large Long-Legged Fly from Russia. This specimen has incredible detail - you can even see the hairs on its back! The fly is beautifully preserved, and the pose is the classic "flying" position. The fly is easily seen trapped in the amber piece. This is a fabulous insect entombed in ancient fossil ooze.
