Age:  Eocene

This is an excellent swarm of fossil insects from the Baltic Coast of Poland. There are three large Fungus Gnats (Mycetophilidae) entombed in the amber piece. The gnats all have good detail - their features are easily seen. The bugs are nicely showcased and quite obvious in the large amber piece. This is a great swarm of fossil insects trapped in Baltic Amber (large close-up photo is included for free).
