This is an excellent insect in Baltic Amber. It is a beautiful Long-Legged Fly (Dolichopodidae) from Russia. This specimen has GREAT detail - you can even see the long legs and venation and ''crinkle pattern'' on the wings! It looks like a modern day fly! The fly is easily seen entombed within the colorful amber nugget. This is a very displayable insect trapped in fossil ooze (large close-up photo is included free).
