This is a very distinct insect in Baltic Amber. It is a fabulous Bark Louse (Psocoptera) from Russia. This strange specimen has great detail, showcasing the wings, head, and body beautifully. The louse is easily seen in the HUGE amber piece. This is a very interesting and unusual insect trapped in fossil ooze (large close-up photo is included for free).
