Name:
Pseudoscorpion
Age: Oligocene
Formation: Amber Mines
Location: Dominican Republic
Size: Amber piece is 0.65 inches long
This is a fabulous inclusion in amber. It is a large Pseudoscorpion, entombed in this fine nugget of Dominican Amber. The Pseudoscorpion is trapped in the classic ''claws out'' position. The 'Scorp has great detail, as seen in the close-up photo. The large claws, eyes, and tiny mandibles display beautifully. There is also an excellent Mite preserved in the piece (not pictured). A complete Pseudoscorpion in amber is a rare find, but one this nice is almost never found (a small close-up photo is included at no charge).
