This is a very rare amber fossil. It is a Spider with web preserved in Baltic Amber. Spiders are found in Baltic Amber, and spider webs in amber are occasionally unearthed. But it is extremely rare to find a spider and its web trapped together in an amber piece! This specimen has an excellent spider and a large section of web preserved. Both the spider and the web are easily seen in the honey-colored amber nugget. This is an extremely rare and collectible amber fossil from the Baltic Coast of Russia (large close-up photo is included for free).
