This is a rare insect in Baltic Amber. It is a Winged Aphid from Russia. This type is very unusual in the fossil record - it is only the second one we've ever seen. This specimen is preserved in the classic "spread wings" pose. It is very nice example of this extremely uncommon insect in amber (close-up photo is included for free).
