Very Detailed Moth from the Dominican Republic

This is an unusual insect in amber. It is a large Moth (Lepidoptera) from the Dominican Republic. The moth has great detail, and the long antennae are even intact. The spread wings and barbed legs make for a striking display. The moth is EASILY SEEN in the beautiful cognac-colored amber piece. This is an excellent specimen of a Moth trapped in ''fossil ooze'' (small close-up photo is included for free).
