This is a very rare insect in amber. It is a large Cicada Nymph (Auchenorrhyncha) from Russia. This specimen is very detailed and beautifully preserved. The LONG legs are intact and wonderfully showcased. The nymph is easily seen in the large amber piece. This is a very unusual fossil insect in Baltic Amber (large close-up photo is included for free).
