Name:
Pseudoscorpion and Six, Flies
Age: Oligocene
Formation: Amber Mines
Location: Dominican Republic
Size: Amber piece is 0.75 inches long
This is a RARE set of inclusions in amber. There is a large Pseudoscorpion, three Long Legged Flies, and three Gall Midges all trapped in this large amber piece. The Pseudoscorpion was trapped in the classic ''claws out'' position. The 'Scorp has great detail, as seen in the close-up photo. The segmented legs are present, and the large claws display beautifully. The flies are complete and also have nice detail. They are nicely scattered about the amber piece. A complete Pseudoscorpion in amber is a rare find, but one that also has six flies is a keeper. (small close-up photo of the Pseudoscorpion is included for free.)
