This is very detailed insect in Baltic Amber. It is an excellent Wasp (Hymenoptera) from the Baltic Coast of Russia. This wasp has great detail - all of the features are well defined. Even the stinger is intact and extended! The wasp is trapped in an aesthetic pose, and is EASILY seen in the huge, honey-colored amber piece. This is a very collectible example of a wasp preserved in Baltic Amber (large close-up photo is included for free).
