This is an excellent insect in Baltic Amber. It is a beautiful Long-Legged Fly (Dolichopodidae) from Russia. This specimen has GREAT detail - you can even see the hairs on its back and the barbs on its legs! The head is actually quite grotesque! This is a very displayable insect trapped in fossil ooze (large close-up photo is included free).
