This is an unusual insect in Dominican Amber. It is a large Moth (Lepidoptera) from the Dominican Republic. This specimen has great detail - the wings, barbed legs, head, and even antennae are easily seen. The Moth is nicely showcased in the large amber piece. This is a very nice example of a fossil Moth in Dominican Amber (small close-up photo of Moth is included for free).
