This is a very rare insect in amber. It is a large Cicada Nymph (Auchenorrhyncha) from Russia. This specimen is very detailed and has a wonderful segmented exoskeleton. The long legs and large eyes are beautifully preserved. The nymph is EASILY seen in the large amber piece. This is a very unusual fossil insect in Baltic Amber (large close-up photo is included for free).
