Name:
Detailed Pseudoscorpion
Age: Eocene
Formation: Amber Deposits
Location: Baltic Coast, Russia
Size: Amber piece is 0.8 inches long
This is a very collectible inclusion in Baltic Amber. It is a complete Pseudoscorpion (Pseudoscorpiones) from the Baltic Coast of Russia. This specimen has excellent detail. The claws display extremely well, and the legs and segmented body are nicely preserved. The scorp is preserved in a very aesthetic pose, and is easily seen trapped within the clear honey-colored amber piece. This is a great example of this rare arachnid entombed in ''fossil ooze'' (large close-up photo is included for free).
