This is a very impressive amber fossil. It is a large Harvestman Spider (Araneae) trapped in Baltic Amber. This specimen is similar to the present day "Daddy Long-Legs". The spider has excellent detail and legs that extend far past the borders of the photo. The spider is easily seen in the golden amber nugget. This is a collectible fossil spider in Russian Amber (close-up photo is included for free).
