This is a nice insect in amber. It is a Honey Wasp (Hymenoptera) from the Dominican Republic. This specimen has great detail. The legs and wings are easily seen, and the detail of the head is amazing. The wasp is well-centered in a beautiful amber nugget. This is a collectible fossil wasp trapped in Dominican Amber (close-up photo is included for free).
