This is an unusual insect in amber. It is a Moth (Lepidoptera) from the Dominican Republic. This moth is photographed in the ventral (underside) view. It has very nice wing detail, and the barbed legs and long antennae can be seen. This is a nice example of an uncommon moth trapped in amber (close-up photo is included).
