This is a very unusual insect in amber. It is a Field Cricket trapped in Dominican Amber. This specimen is complete and has great detail. The large hind legs and the long antennae are beautifully showcased. Even the spikes on the tail have the bristles preserved! The cricket is very easily seen in the triangular-shaped piece of amber. This is an excellent example of a fossilized cricket from the Dominican Republic.
