Exquisite Liverwort & Wonderful Beetle In Amber
Stock Number  ACPL03

Name:   Liverwort & Beetle (Coleoptera)
Age:  Oligocene
Formation:  Amber Mines
Location:  Dominican Republic
Size:  Piece of amber is 0.7 inches long

Here is an exciting piece of Dominican Amber. This piece of Oligocene amber contains a very striking Liverwort and a superb Beetle (Coleoptera). The piece of amber has been highly polished on all sides to reveal the fine detail of the inclusions. The ''feathery-looking'' Liverwort, a somewhat primitive plant, exhibits the tiny leaflets in beautiful fashion. The large Beetle is intact and easily seen in the honey-colored piece of fossil sap. This is a great specimen of a rare plant and a wonderful Beetle preserved in Dominican Amber (close-up photos included for free).
