This is a very impressive amber fossil. It is a swarm of four Winged Ants (Hymenoptera) from the Dominican Republic. All four ants are complete and have great detail. Their gossamer wings are beautifully showcased. Each of the ants are easily seen with the naked eye, and are nicely spaced within the amber piece. This is an excellent grouping of Winged Ants in amber - a very collectible fossil (small close-up photo of one ant is included for free).
