This is an unusual insect in amber. It is a Beetle Larva (Coleoptera) from the Dominican Republic. This larva looks like an inchworm or millipede, but it is not. The specimen has good detail, especially on the legs and head. The larva is trapped in a beautiful, honey-colored amber piece. This is a good example of an unusual insect in Dominican Amber (close-up photo is included for free).
