This is a nice insect in amber. It is a large Winged Male Ant (Hymenoptera) from the Dominican Republic. The ant has good detail, especially on the wings. The legs, antennae, and pincer mandibles are also well-preserved. There is also an excellent Gall Midge and many beautiful bubbles trapped in the amber piece. This is a very nice assortment of inclusions in Dominican Amber (close-up photo is included for free).
