This is a rare inclusion in Dominican Amber. It is a fossilized spider web, an unusual occurrence in the fossil record. The web has some debris trapped, such as a bubbles and plant material. This is a very substantial section of web to be trapped in amber. There is also a Black Scavenger Fly and even a Gall Gnat caught in the amber piece. This is a very collectible and highly unusual assemblage of inclusions trapped forever in a tiny amber tomb!
