This is a nice fossil fly in Baltic Amber. It is a Sand Fly (Psychodidae) from Russia. This specimen has great detail, displaying the wings, legs, and antennae well. The fly is nicely positioned in the honey-colored amber piece. This is a great example of a Sand Fly with beautiful wings (close-up photo is included for free).
