This is a beautiful fly in Baltic Amber. It is a large Crane Fly from Russia. Crane Flies are uncommon in amber because they are large and have long legs. This specimen has super detail - the legs, wings, and antennae are very well preserved. The fly is easily seen in the long amber piece. And there is even another insect trapped in the amber. It is a very collectible example is a fossil Crane Fly (close-up photo is included for free).
