This is a very detailed insect in Baltic Amber. It is a Long-Legged Fly (Dolichopodidae) from Russia. This specimen shows the legs, wings, and large eyes very well. The fly is easily seen in the top of the large amber piece. This is a beautiful fly trapped in amber (close-up photo is included for free).
