This is an excellent insect in Baltic Amber. It is a Long-Legged Fly (Dolichopodidae) from Russia. This specimen has great detail. You can even see the hairs on the back and legs. It is posed in the amber like it is flying - it looks like there is a jet "vapor trail" following the fly. This is a very nice insect trapped in fossil ooze (close-up photo is included free).
