This is an excellent spider in amber. It is a web spider (Araneae) from the Dominican Republic. This spider has very good color and detail. It is nicely centered in the large amber piece. There is also a nice fly entombed in the amber. This is a great specimen of a spider and a fly trapped in fossil amber (close-up photo is included).
