This is an excellent insect in Baltic Amber. It is a large Caddisfly (Trichoptera) from Russia. This specimen is trapped in a large amber piece, and it is EASILY seen within the piece. The detail of the Caddisfly is excellent, showing the legs and antennae well. This is a great example of a Caddisfly in amber (close-up photo is included for free.)
