This is a great insect in amber. It is a complete Ant (Hymenoptera) from Russia. This specimen has very nice detail - you can even see the barbs on the legs! All the legs are intact and both antennae are preserved. The ant is easily seen in the honey-clear amber piece. This is an excellent fossil ant trapped in Baltic Amber (close-up photo is included for free).
