Harvestman Spider In Dominican Amber
Stock Number  ACASD02

Name:   Spider (Araneae)
Age:  Eocene
Formation:  Amber Mines
Location:  Dominican Republic
Size:  Amber piece is 0.9 inches long

Here is a very nice spider entrapped in amber. This specimen is from the Amber Mines of the Dominican Republic. The piece of amber has been highly polished on all sides to reveal the fine detail of the inclusion. The body of the harvestman spider is well preserved and the long, thin legs are beautifully displayed. The spider is nicely centered in the piece of fossil resin and is easily seen with the naked eye. A partial insect is also present in the piece of amber. This is a very nice, long-legged spider entombed in Oligocene amber.
