Name:
Caddisflies (Trichoptera)
Age: Eocene
Formation: Amber Deposits
Location: Russia
Size: Amber piece is 0.6 inches long
This is an unusual inclusion in Baltic Amber. It is a pair of Caddisflies (Trichoptera) from Russia. It is rare to have two large insects preserved so close to each other. Both specimens have very good detail. They are both facing the same direction. This is a nice, displayable Caddisfly fossil in amber (close-up photo is included for free).
