This is an excellent insect in Baltic Amber. It is a Beetle (Coleoptera) from Russia. This beetle has great detail on the head and wing coverings - you can even see the surface reticulation detail. The beetle is easily seen trapped in the piece of amber. And there are also air bubbles trapped in the amber. This is an excelent specimen of a Beetle entombed in Baltic Amber (close-up photo is included).
